A Legacy Built In The Field

Over 75 years ago, Jesus Alderete left Jalisco for California’s Central Coast, where he immersed himself in the art of cultivation. Among California’s renowned fields, vineyards, and orchards, he learned to farm with reverence. He embraced the lessons of the land, discovering how to allow it to speak for itself through the distinct flavors that reflect its true nature.

Blanco

BLANCO
Spicy Cucumber Margarita

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Tequila Alderete Blanco
  • 3 slices cucumber (plus more for garnish)
  • 6-8 fresh mint leaves
  • 2-3 slices fresh jalapeño
  • ¾ oz orange liqueur
  • ¾ oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz agave syrup
  • 1 ½ oz ginger beer
  • 1 tsp each: sea salt, chili powder, granulated sugar (for rim)

Preparation

  1. On a small plate, combine the sea salt, chili powder, and sugar. Swipe the rim of a rocks glass with a lime wedge, then dip into the seasoning mixture. Fill the glass with ice and set aside.

  2. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the cucumber slices, mint leaves, and Tequila Alderete Blanco. Add the orange liqueur, lime juice, and agave syrup. Fill with ice and shake well to combine.

  3. Strain into the prepared glass and top with ginger beer. Garnish with a cucumber round, jalapeño slice, or lime wheel. Enjoy.

REPOSADO
Alderete's Mirage

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Tequila Alderete Reposado
  • ½ oz peach schnapps or peach liqueur
  • ½ oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz agave syrup
  • ½ tbsp of vanilla paste
  • Sprig of fresh rosemary
  • 2-3 slices of cucumber
  • 1 slice of pear (for an aromatic garnish)

Preparation

  1. In a shaker, muddle the rosemary and cucumber slices with Tequila Alderete Reposado. Add the vanilla paste, agave syrup, lime juice, and peach liqueur.. Fill with ice and shake vigorously until well chilled.

  2. Strain into a Collins or highball glass filled with fresh ice.

  3. Garnish with a cucumber wheel, a sprig of rosemary, and a thin slice of pear for a delicate aromatic touch.

REPOSADO
Smokey Paloma

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Tequila Alderete Reposado
  • ½ oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz agave syrup
  • 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
  • 2 oz grapefruit soda (or sparkling water)
  • Pinch of smoked sea salt
  • Grapefruit wedge (for garnish)
  • Optional: Tajín + smoked sea salt (for rim)

Preparation

  1. Rim a highball glass with lime and dip in salt or Tajín. Fill with ice and set aside.
  2. In a shaker, combine Tequila Alderete Reposado, grapefruit juice, lime juice, agave syrup, and a small pinch of smoked sea salt. Add ice and shake to chill and integrate.
  3. Strain into the prepared glass. Top with grapefruit soda or sparkling water and gently stir.
  4. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
